Cover: In triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells, miR-221/222 negatively regulate the expression of several suppressive components of the Wnt signaling pathway, such as WIF1, DKK2, SFRP2, and AXIN2, leading to the activation of ß-catenin. The activated ß-catenin then promotes the transcription of signature genes important for cell growth and migration, resulting in robust proliferation and metastasis of these cancer cells. See pages 302–315 by Liu et al. for details.
