Cover: In triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells, miR-221/222 negatively regulate the expression of several suppressive components of the Wnt signaling pathway, such as WIF1, DKK2, SFRP2, and AXIN2, leading to the activation of ß-catenin. The activated ß-catenin then promotes the transcription of signature genes important for cell growth and migration, resulting in robust proliferation and metastasis of these cancer cells.
