Cover: The p53 pathway is a highly complex signaling network. The balance between Mdm2-mediated ubiquitination and HAUSP-mediated deubiquitination is considered as the key for p53 homeostasis. The cover image ‘speeding p53 on the highway interchange’ metaphorically illustrates how p53 is stabilized and activated via HAUSP-mediated interaction with HLA-B-associated transcript 3 (Bat3).
