Cover: In anaplastic thyroid cancer, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)-mediated activation of TSH receptor (TSHR) is impaired because of the aberrant silence of TSHR. Capsaicin, a transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) agonist, induces edifferentiation of the dedifferentiated anaplastic thyroid carcinoma cells through bypassing TSHR signal and augments radioiodine (RAI) therapeutic efficiency through increasing sodium iodine symporter expression and membrane trafficking. The butterflies represent the thyroid gland after effective RAI therapy for thyroid cancer. See pages 791–807 by Xu et al. for details.
