Cover: Regulation of DNA replication during a cell cycle. In G1, Cdt1 and Cdc6 recruit MCM2-7 to ORC-bound origins to form the pre-RC complexes. At the onset of S-phase, the activation of CDK and DDK triggers the recruitment of Cdc45 and GINS to origins to form the pre-IC complexes. In S and G2, pre-RC reassembly is prevented by Cdt1 degradation or Geminin binding and by nuclear export of Cdc6. See pages 13-22 by Truong and Wu for details.
