Cover: Self-quantified plasma proteome could be used to evaluate treatment outcomes and predict prognosis for complex diseases. The health-to-disease distance nicely correlated with patient s response to treatment and long-term prognosis in chronic kidney disease. Compared with steroid-alone therapy, steroid-TCM-combined therapy more significantly normalized the proteomic profile to the healthy condition, supporting higher efficacy and safety of the combined therapy. See pages 184–194 by Li et al. for details.
