Cover: In the myosin-positive differentiated myocytes, a novel long non-coding RNA Myolinc binds to the DNA/RNA-binding protein TDP-43, assisting the recruitment of TDP-43 to the promoters of muscle marker genes (e.g. MyoD) to activate gene expression, and thus regulates myogenesis. The murine myoblast C2C12 cells after 2 days of differentiation were stained with MF20 (green), TDP-43 (red), and counterstained with DAPI (blue) to visualize the nuclei.
