Cover: Postovulatory aging is known to compromise the oocyte quality as well as subsequent embryonic developmental potential in many different animal models, and thus becomes one of the most intractable issues that limit the outcome of human assisted reproductive technology. The recent fi ndings demonstrate that supplementation of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN, a key NAD+ intermediate for its biosynthesis) improves the quality of postovulatory aged porcine oocytes by strengthening the mitochondrial function. See mjac025 by Miao et al. for details.
