Cover: CBX7 expression is downregulated in malignant meningioma, while glycolysis is enhanced in meningioma cells. CBX7 restoration reprograms the metabolic flux from glycolysis to mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation system (OXPHOS) in meningioma cells, through suppressing USP44 transcription, destabilizing c-MYC protein, and blocking c-MYC-dependent transactivation of LDHA transcription, and thus inhibits meningioma cell proliferation.
